Several years ago when
the Purple Chick series was first released, 
someone with the nom de plume of Doctor Bob created a series of 
notes for each release. Each one breaks down, track by track, what 
every song is. In essence, these are the
missing liner notes that
should  have been part of the Purple Chick Deluxe series.

Please include
these notes if you share the Purple Chick releases. 

Here is an example from With The Beatles:

Track 21 is an edit of takes 4 and 5 of One After 909. On disc 1 it's a
true stereo mix. Disc 2 has the mono
mix as used on Anthology 1. In
both cases take 5 is used for most of the solo.

Track 22 on disc 1 is the
"hi-hat intro" to All My Loving, featured on
several German compilations. It's probably an untrimmed copy
of RS14.

Track 23 on disc 1 is the more common Nov. 7, 1966 stereo mix of I Want
To Hold Your Hand.
Either Purple Chick missed the June 8, 1965 stereo
mix of this song, or they decided that the sources listed in
Brennan
are actually the 1966 mix (but that doesn't explain how the German
Beatles Greatest, released in 1965,
has a stereo mix of this song that
wasn't the 1963 mix on it). In The Beatles' Recording Sessions, Mark
Lewisohn states that the 1965 mix was never used.
